Following an organizational redesign aligned with our 2035 Strategic Business Plan (SBP), approved by the Board of Directors, our C-Suite was revamped, introducing a Chief Strategy Officer (CSO) to replace the Business Development Manager (BDM), along with a new Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO).
The Board on March 8, 2024 at its 208th meeting, approved appointments to these three C-Suite positions with effect from March 1, 2024 as follows:
Mr. Gary Eugene
Transmission & Distribution Manager as Chief Engineer (CE)
Mr. Eugene and Mr. Jevon Nathaniel, Generation Engineer participated in a competitive recruitment process for the CE role, which included the completion of an Executive Coaching Development Program (ECDP). In 2023, they both served as CE and shared the responsibilities, overseeing various departments and sections in the Technical Division. During the nine-month period, both candidates demonstrated commitment to enhancing their leadership competence and made significant progress. We will continue to support Mr. Eugene’s development as he transitions to a C-Suite role and Mr. Nathaniel as he continues his leadership journey.
Ms. Ziva Phillips
Finance and Accounts Manager as Chief Financial Officer (CFO)
Ms. Phillips has been acting as CFO from July 1, 2023, and also participated in an ECDP. Her progress to date demonstrates her leadership competencies and commitment required for the CFO role. Notwithstanding, she will continue to be supported as she transitions to the C-Suite role.
Mrs. Sharon Narcisse
Senior Human Resources Manager as Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO)
Mrs. Narcisse, in this upgraded role, will be responsible for developing and executing a human resource strategy, including culture transformation in support of our SBP. Mrs. Narcisse also participated in an ECDP. Her progress to date demonstrates that she possesses the leadership competencies and commitment for this role. We will continue to support her as she transitions to this new role.
These appointments complete the establishment of our C-Suite Team, which is headed by me, Managing Director, Mr. Gilroy Pultie and includes:
- Mr. Ian Peter – Chief Strategy Officer
- Mrs. Sharon Narcisse – Chief Human Resources Officer
- Ms. Ziva Phillips – Chief Financial Officer
- Mr. Gary Eugene – Chief Engineer
Now that the C-Suite Team is fully established, we can focus even more on forging a synergistic executive team to lead the execution of our business strategy and ensure operational management of key business decisions. Due to the above appointments, changes at the Senior Management Level will be communicated shortly.
