What is Generative AI?
Generative AI is a type of artificial intelligence responsible for the creation or generation of text, images or other data types. The Generative AI models learn patterns and structure from analyzing inputted data, allowing the software to generate new data with similar characteristics.
Generative AI Usage Guidelines
It is our responsibility to ensure LUCELEC’s information remains secure, and our data is protected. The following guidelines should be put into practice:
- Private or non-public company information should not be entered into generative AIs to safeguard LUCELEC’s data
- Provide clear contextual information in an effort to receive accurate responses
- Use credible sources to fact check information received from generative AIs
- Scrutinize any AI-generated content to ensure that it does not infringe on another’s copyright or intellectual property
- Consider referencing your usage of AI to your audience. E.g.: This description was generated by ChatGPT and edited by “Your name”.
