Employees are invited to apply for a scholarship for their child under the LUCELEC SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAMME - Late Bloomer Programme.
The Late Bloomer Programme seeks to recognize and provide an opportunity to students who may not have qualified for a LUCELEC scholarship due to their performance at the Caribbean Primary Exit Assessment (CPEA), but have improved and maintained a satisfactory performance at Secondary School. Students who were withdrawn from the programme but have improved and demonstrated satisfactory academic performance remain eligible for a scholarship through the Late Bloomer Programme.
The Late Bloomer Programme meets the cost of approved textbooks, mathematical set, uniforms, and stationery allowances (amounts at the sole discretion of the Company), school bags, school/facilities fees and one-time CSEC and Cape exams. Scholarship holders who qualify for and enter Sir Arthur Lewis Community College on completion of their secondary education will have their scholarships extended for a maximum period of two (2) years.
The regulations governing the award of scholarships are as follows:
- Scholarships shall be tenable only at public secondary schools approved by the Ministry of Education in St. Lucia.
- Scholarships shall cover the cost of approved textbooks and supplies, mathematical set, school fees, CXC Examination fees and uniforms.
- A scholarship may be awarded only to a child of a current employee of LUCELEC.
- Scholarships shall be awarded on the basis of academic performance.
- A LUCELEC Scholarship Holder may not hold any other scholarship simultaneously

Submit this completed form along with:
- a copy of your child’s Caribbean Examinations Council (CXC) Slip
- a copy of Sir Arthur Lewis Community College (SALCC) Admission Letter
- a copy of Secondary School Last Academic Year Report
- a copy of your child’s Birth Certificate
Please note applications MUST be completed in full and submitted with the required documents for consideration by the Scholarship Committee.
