Mr. Stephen Charles, also known as Sexy or Toolooloo, joined LUCELEC on December 03rd, 1984 as a Trainee Lineman attached to the Transmission & Distribution Department, and was appointed permanently in the position of Lineman III after completing his training. Mr. Charles is known to be a very quiet, very efficient, dedicated and easy-going man. He is very knowledgeable about his job, a good team player, a good supervisor and leader. Mr. Charles applied himself and took advantage of all opportunities to further his education and to progress in his career.
This is evidenced by him beginning as a Lineman III to retiring as Transmission Inspection and Maintenance Supervisor, to which he was appointed on January 1st, 2003. During his tenure with our Company, Mr. Charles has received Awards such as Perfect Attendance amongst others.
He works hard and plays hard; he likes to party. You could call him a social coordinator, having a party? He will make it happen using his many connections. Whether it be Vinci Mas, flying to Grenada, Crop over, or going to Dominica. He did a lot of travelling with persons like Mr. Christopher St. Marthe before he settled down. You couldn’t keep up with him. He is good at table tennis and cricket, and he is also a very good dancer compliments of his family background of being part of the cultural foundation.
On April 1st, 2025, Mr. Charles proceeds on retirement after 40 years of service. Team LUCELEC, please join the Management Team and the HR Department in saying “THANK YOU MR. We thank you for your dedication and for going above and beyond, and for the sacrifices that you made in helping to bring LUCELEC to where it is today.
