Human Resources

The HR Department recruits employees and manages their life cycle at our company. That includes preparing vacancy notices, overseeing the on-boarding and separation process, training to ensure staff and company development, process payrolls, administers company benefits and handles employee matters. HR is made up of three sections, Employee Relations (ER), HR Business Partner (HRBP) and Operations.

Employee Relations (ER) is responsible for the operational aspects of the department. This includes:

  • Management of all employee benefits
  • Salary administration
  • Managing employee issues such as grievances
  • Overseeing union matters
  • Employee discipline

HR Business Partners (HRBP) handles the developmental aspects of our employees. The section:

  • Leads the recruitment, selection of candidates and on-boarding process
  • Oversees company training, employee development and performance assessment
  • Manages employee engagement and Spotlight Awards
  • Manages employee separations from the company (conducts exit interviews)

HR Operations plays a vital role in delivering high-quality and professional HR services that support strong business performance and promotes strong employee engagement and support for the achievement of HR departmental objectives.

This includes ensuring the accurate, timely, and efficient execution of payroll and related services by managing all operational aspects of payroll administration in compliance with Company policies and statutory requirements.

In addition, the team manages a range of dedicated employee benefit programs, such as: 

  • NIC sickness benefits
  • absence tracking and management
  • medical plan administration
  • scholarships
  • vacation leave
  • administration of allowances for vehicles, telephones, and authorized driver’s licenses
