Office of Strategy Management
The Office of Strategy Management is one of the newer Departments of our Company. Below is a summary of it's responsibilities:
- Coordinate the strategic-planning processes and the development of the strategy, translating it across functions and driving change, forging new working relationships and synergies across the Company, and establishing greater transparency and accountability for those executing the company’s strategy;
- Facilitate the implementation of the strategy by working collaboratively with the heads of departments, ensuring the strategy is communicated and understood across the Company in order that strategic actions and desired results are achieved;
- Facilitate the development and implementation of the Balanced Scorecard system through effective communication, monitoring and establishment of performance metrics to drive change and to ensure the whole of the company is aligned with the strategy;
- Conduct organizational reviews to identify strengths and weaknesses and to evaluate operational effectiveness and makes recommendations based on emerging trends, expansion opportunities, competitive threats, and internal business process improvement;
- Collaborate with various departments to collect business data relating to the strategy execution process and conducts analysis and prepares reports to enable performance assessment and to facilitate timely and informed decision making;
- Identifies means of improving the value and efficiency of the company to capture untapped synergies and eliminate duplication across the various functions and business units;
- Advise on critical changes in the global marketplace and external business environment which could have a material impact on the business of the Company;
- Develops implements and coordinates strategies and operational enhancements aimed at ensuring Company programmes deliver high-impact services to customers and monitor results to ensure the achievement of goals and objectives;
- Assist with the implementation of project plans by providing project management expertise to support initiatives designed to improve operations and customer service;
- Promote the use of measurement and evaluation with a focus on the creation of organizational dashboard to enable ease of access, at-a-glance mission critical information for more informed decision making;
- Assist in the development and implementation of goals, objectives, policies and priorities to support the effective translation of the Company’s mission and vision into tangible, measurable targets;
- Assist with the formulation of the company’s strategic plan through analysis of macroeconomic trends and critical evaluation of the Company’s performance to determine the way forward to achieve the vision of the organization;
- Conduct scheduled reviews of critical business processes to identify new approaches and solutions to operational issues to enable the establishment of success factors for the department and to contribute to the overall efficiency of the company;
- Prepare status reports, outlining achievements and challenges to keep senior management informed, to facilitate assessment of the Department’s performance, decision making and to contribute to the Company’s Annual Report;
